On 9 March 2024 we filed the paperwork, locked in our name and ABN, and flipped the switch on thesimplecommute.com.au. Our vision of honest-priced, rider-first scooters was now real.

19 September 2024 marked our first ever order. We sent out our inaugural electric scooter and began building a community of Aussies who’d had enough of traffic and parking hassles. On that very same night, we also launched our brand and website, making it a truly unforgettable start to our journey.

- On 24 September 2024 we launched our first ad campaign. It was our debut to thousands of riders scrolling their feeds—introducing fair-priced e-scooters backed by true-blue local support.

First Container Delivery
On 7 June 2025 our first container rolled into Melbourne, packed with hundreds of Aurora and Kaiju electric scooters. It was the start of scaling up to meet rider demand nationwide.

Hamlet Yang
Born in 1998, the Year of the Tiger, Hamlet has always been driven by a passion for business ever since he was little. After graduating from Ringwood Secondary College and making the bold decision to drop out of Monash University at 20, he ventured into the business world, where his first venture flourished. Fast forward to early 2024, he founded The Simple Commute together with his co-founder, Ben. Now, as the founder and CEO of The Simple Commute, Hamlet is focused on making a meaningful impact on Australian commuters by offering high durability and affordable solutions. Their journey reflects a commitment to innovation and a dedication to improving everyday life.
