The top speeds of 25 km/h (Astro), 40 km/h (Aurora), and 50 km/h (Kaiju) can only be unlocked for use on private land. Please contact us for the steps involved to unlock the speed after purchase.

*Range Testing: In flat surface testing (Full Battery, 13 km/h), the Aurora and Kaiju achieved 100 km, and the Astro reached 45 km, all under standard mode with a 70 kg load.
*Cruise control can be unlocked upon request after purchase by providing proof of purchase.
On varied Australian terrain (Full Battery), using a mix of pedestrian and regular modes, the Aurora and Kaiju delivered 70–80 km, while the Astro achieved 30–35 km.
Products purchased from The Simple Commute may only be returned by the original purchaser within 15 days from the date the product was delivered. To qualify for a return, the following criteria must be met:
- Unopened Items: Items must be returned in their original condition as shipped.
- Incorrect or Mismatched Items: Items that were incorrectly shipped or do not match what was shown on the website www.thesimplecommute.com.au
- Non-defective Opened Items: Items that are returned opened but within the return policy period.
If you decide to cancel your order while it is in transit, we will make every effort to process your request. However, we cannot guarantee the cancellation.
All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) code. To obtain an RMA, please provide the following information:
- The reason for requesting the return.
- Your The Simple Commute Order Number (receipt or proof of purchase).
- The serial number of the unit being returned.

What is the warranty and how does it work?
We offer a Limited Warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty process involves contacting Customer Support with a description of the defect, proof of purchase, serial number, and relevant photos/videos. If the defect is covered, they will repair or replace the part at no cost to you. Shipping costs for returning defective products are covered by us. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorized repairs, normal wear and tear, or cosmetic damage. Key parts like the frame and battery are covered for 1 year, while the charger, controller, and lights have shorter coverage periods.
How can I service the scooter?
You can service your e-scooter by bringing it to The Simple Commute's repair center (8/1001 Mountain Highway, Boronia, Melbourne), or you can ship it to us. Once the repair is complete, you have two weeks to pick up your scooter or pay the return shipping invoice. After this period, a storage fee of $25 per day applies, up to a maximum of 30 days. Proper packaging is crucial if you need to ship your scooter to the repair center. You can obtain third-party packaging or purchase a box from us (subject to availability). Repair turnaround times vary based on the availability of spare parts, ranging from 3-5 days to a minimum of 30 days. For updates, you can reach out to The Simple Commute team.
What is the speed of the scooter?
The speed of the Aurora E-scooter is capable of reaching up to 40 km/h. However, we have to limit it to 25 km/h to comply with local regulations. If you'd like to unlock the full speed, you can contact us, but please be aware that you will be fully liable for any consequences that may arise from doing so.
What is the range of the scooter?
We offer two variations of our Aurora E-scooter. The standard model has a maximum range of up to 65 km, while the long-range model can go up to 100 km on a full charge, making it ideal for longer commutes or extended rides.
